    Don't be afraid to ask questions because there is no such thing as a stupid question in college. You are on your own once you start college and if you have any kind of question you need to ask it whether it is in class, after class, or over email.

Make sure you're asking questions regarding financial aid, registering for classes, academic stresses you may have, etc. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, but they will not baby you.
