Black's Beach is a short walk from campus, bonfires there at night are great bonding with new friends. La Jolla Cove is one bus ride away, as is Old Town, and many other spots of SD, which are easy and free to get to with our bus sticker! This school has a bad rep for being "socially dead", but it's all what you make of it, if you don't want to sit around, find something to do, there's always things going on on and off campus.

there are many different activities to do on campus and off campus. i am an athlete, so i enjoy attending sporting events. it is fun to support your fellow students and also a great basis for meeting other people. there are also intramural sports. don't let the name fool you, they can be very competitive and are also anot her fun way to make friends. the beach is not too far away from campus. students often go down to the beach just to relax or enjoy a game of friendly of volleyball. there are many different things to do around the community. personally, i enjoy going over to a friend's dorm to talk, dance, and listen to music. there is fun all around you, you just have to join in.

The beach is a short walk or a bus ride away, you can go there between classes if you want. There's a bus to Gaslamp District in San Diego if you want to explore the city a bit more. The cliffs are a great place to see the sunset. The recreation centers hold various classes that go from fencing to archery to kendo to scuba diving. These classes are a little extra, but there's a huge variety.
