I absolutely love it here, but then, I knew I wanted to be here the first time I stepped foot on campus. For me it was about going to the school that felt right to me, and I definitely knew it when I came here.

From what little I saw of it, UCSC seemed very open. The campus itself was beautiful, and the city around it was bustling. Both in the middle of the forest and right by the beach, which for me, is the best of both worlds.

I would definitely recommend coming here as well as volunteering, interning, or working in the Santa Cruz community.

UCSC is a great place for students looking to study on a campus full of nature everywhere, and FAR, far away from urban cities. The city of Santa Cruz is a 30-minute bus ride away and is very hippie-like. You really don't have much distractions around you at UCSC, both a bad and a good thing in itself--also one of the reasons why I want to transfer after this school year.
