I was Valedictorian and the science program here, while not impossible, is really making me work for my grades. The classes can be hard, but you will never do anything that seems to be busy work. The hard work that Allegheny requires makes so that you have mastered the material. Allegheny students also have numerous opportunities for research. This is fantastic for applying for grad school!

If I'm going to pay a large sum to attend a private liberal arts college I expect to be pushed and I certainly have been. Some of my classes have been fairly easy while others have made me work for multiple days to obtain a fairly decent grade. It truly depends on what your intended major is when it comes to the size of your workload but I know I will have some very long weeks ahead once I've decided what I want to do with my life.

They claim themselves to be pretty top notch. They're rated number 22 in most rigorous schools if I remember correctly.
