Founded in 1859, Benedictine College is a private, Roman Catholic institution sponsored by both the Mount St. Scholastica Monastery and St. Benedict’s Abbey. Located in Atchison, Kansas, Benedictine also has a campus in Florence, Italy. This “selective” admissions college takes students on 20 mission trips per year, has an on-campus Observatory inaugurated by Vatican astronomers, and was named an All-Steinway School by Steinway & Sons. Benedictine also features an Honors Program, the Gregorian Fellows for Catholic Leaders, and the STEM Fellows for talented science, technology, engineering, and mathematics students.
This is an incredible school with a wonderful faith based community. I have never felt more welcome or at home and everyone has a smile on their face. The campus is beautiful, both churches and the chapel are incredible, and the classes are fun and interesting.

The college is its own small community. It is small enough where you get to know almost everyone in your class and also many others from higher and lower classes.
