With campus situated on a hilltop formerly covered in briar patches, Briar Cliff University is a Franciscan Catholic liberal arts college in northwest Iowa. Briar Cliff confers undergraduate degrees in over 40 academic majors. For students who wish to learn in a new culture, Briar Cliff offers a study abroad program at the Catholic University of Korea as well as exchange programs with Rwanda, Venezuela, and Mexico. As a Catholic school, Briar Cliff celebrates mass on Sundays and select weekdays at the Chapel of Our Lady of Grace.
