With campus on the shore of Lake Michigan, Carthage College is a liberal arts college in southeast Wisconsin affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church. Carthage offers bachelor’s degrees in over 50 areas of study and every major includes a writing component. Among its academic departments, Carthage features a Space Science program and is one of two liberal arts colleges to participate in NASA’s Space Grant Consortium. For students looking to explore the performing arts, Carthage’s Theater department mounts six to eight productions per year and hosts professional playwrights on campus through the New Play Initiative.
Carthage is about meeting new people and feeding off others ideas and outlooks on life. In most traditional colleges an intellectual development is highly stressed, but here you are encouraged to grow spiritually , socially, and emotionally into a vibrant contributor to society. Last if all students are heavily guided with classes but taught to enjoy the relaxed setting the college creates.

I like the liberal arts aspect of Carthage College. I have been able to try many different types of classes that help me to know what I am interested in studying. They are very good at leading students in the right direction.
