Elon University is a selective, liberal arts institution located in central North Carolina. The 656-acre Greensboro campus hosts six schools and a number of academic ceenters, which include the Center for Enviornmental Studies, the Doherty Center for Creativity, Innovation, and Entrepeneurship, and the Center for Organizational Analytics. Each year, Elon University bestows an acorn to all incoming freshman and, at commencement, new graduates are given a sprouted oak sapling to signify their growth and future.
