The Louisiana State University and Agricultural & Mechanical College, more commonly known as Louisiana State, is the most comprehensive university in the state. The main library doubles as a U.S. Regional Depository Library and belongs to the Association of Research Libraries, a distinction reserved for only 113 libraries in the US and Canada.
