The Louisiana State University and Agricultural & Mechanical College, more commonly known as Louisiana State, is the most comprehensive university in the state. This public university is located in Baton Rouge and is a designated land-, space-, and sea-grant institution. The main library doubles as a U.S. Regional Depository Library and belongs to the Association of Research Libraries, a distinction reserved for only 113 libraries in the US and Canada. LSU’s learning center, The Center for Academic Success, is one of only two Learning Centers of Excellence in the nation.
