Founded by a nun from a Felician convent, Madonna University is a Franciscan Catholic institution in the Detroit area. Madonna confers bachelor’s and associate degrees in over 100 career-focused academic majors and is the first university in the nation to offer undergrad degrees in Sign Language Studies and Hospice Education. Additionally, Madonna hosts an annual research symposium presenting projects in business, sociology, and forensic science. For students interested in the performing arts, Madonna is home to two choirs and two theatrical ensembles.
