The Marion Military Institute is a public two-year military junior college. It is the oldest military junior college in the nation and offers several training programs, including the Reserve Officer Training Corps for the Air Force, Army, and Marines. MMI offers a Service Academy Program to prepare students to transfer to one of the five Service Academies. The Marion Military Institute is home to the MMI Chapel and Lovelace Hall and the President’s House, which are both listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
