Founded in 1935, Norfolk State University is a 4-year public school and Historically Black College and University in southeast Virginia. Norfolk State confers bachelor’s degrees in 31 academic majors and is the only school in the state to offer a bachelor’s degree in optical engineering. The university is also a member of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund. In addition to regular meal plans, Norfolk State campus dining features a number of theme nights throughout the year and operates a food truck.
