Am learning a lot
There is so much to learn at Valley Forge. The professors help you not only in the courses, but when it comes to life experience. Most of them are a little older and can give great advice for both aspects of learning.
Am enjoying being here
I love Valley Forge. It's become my new home, and my best friends are there. It's great being able to live with them, and we always find fun things to do in our free time to get away from the academics. It's also very close to Philadelphia and King of Prussia, so there are many places to get away to.
Bang for the buck
It is a little expensive, but there is a plethora of financing options and scholarships that are available. And in the end, it all becomes worth the money put into it.
Tips for prospective students
Take advantage of S.T.A.R.T. team activities, learning opportunities, and chances to have fun on campus. They are really useful, and very helpful to incoming students who are still learning the ropes of college life.
Great for these types of students
It's a great place for students who want to grow more in their spiritual life, and feel that God has called them to this school. It's also great for those who just want a place to feel accepted into a society of great people.

At the University of Valley Forge, you'll experience a close-knit, fun Christian environment that focuses on building you up educationally as well as spiritually. There are many opportunities available and resources that can help you develop outside of the classroom in real-world settings, and it is easy to find people with similar interests as you. Student-led clubs are another awesome way to get plugged in and do something you love with people just like you; with a smaller campus setting, it is much easier to make friends that will stick with you.
Tips for prospective students
If you are looking to attend UVF, do not hesitate to get to know people. There are so many connections you can make and life-long friends you can find that will help you grow spiritually and will help build you up through your journey.
Academic Rigor
The courses you take encourage work outside of the classroom which is one of the best ways to develop your skills and provides experience much like that in the real-world of your field. Motivation is key!

The University of Valley Forge will not only offer you a great education from professors who truly care about you and your wellbeing as much as your academic performance, but will also offer you an atmosphere of family, fellowship, and fun. You will be accepted and loved from your first moments at the Forge. Not only will you meet a new community of people who will become life-long friends, but you will be in a community of people who share, respect, and encourage your beliefs and relationship with Christ.
Tips for prospective students
My advice to prospective students would be to call the Forge and speak to a Financial Aid coordinator as they are very helpful in navigating the Financial Aid process and will make sure you have applied/signed up for all the Financial Aid you are eligible for. Also, don't wait until the last minute to get all of the paperwork in. The quicker you turn all of that in, the easier check-in will be on your arrival/move in day. Finally, I would advise students to get connected! Join the Class of 2019 (or whatever your year would be) page on Facebook and say Hello! These connections and friendships you will make are going to be life-long relationships with people who will love, encourage, and advocate for you!
Academic Rigor
The classes at the Forge aren't easy, but they certainly aren't too difficult either. They're just enough challenge to require effort, but as long as you try your best and make an effort to do well, you will pass with a pretty good grade. The professors are absolutely willing to work with you and help you out to help you succeed as best as possible. Not only are they pleased by good work, but they are more-so pleased by your growth and development as a person.
Dorm Life
Some of the dorms are a bit older in age, but they all have an atmosphere of hominess. When you walk into Beuttler Hall and see ten or fifteen different students in groups playing card games and watching movies in the lounges, you feel like you're not just at home, but you're at home with a whole bunch of people who love you and want to spend time with you.
Food and Dining
The food options at the Forge are always extensive. There is cereal available all day for those who like to snack throughout. They always offer create-your-own hot or cold sandwiches, salad bar, soups of the day, and pizza and fries along with the other options including creative ethnic dishes and seafood dishes througout the week as well as typical breakfast, lunch, and dinner type foods. There is always two different desserts offered and a soda fountain, water machine, and gatorade/juice options also.
What to do for fun
There is always something to do for fun here at the Forge! Commonly you will see people sitting on the quads in front of their dorms on blankets with their laptops or snacks and strumming guitars. The Anvil is our on campus hang-out spot, which is connected to Jazzman's which is our own coffeehouse/snackbar. We also host concerts throughout the year by different Christian or secular artists which are offered to us at a discounted rate. Also, many of us have cars and are willing and happy to go on outings to the grocery store, nearby swimming holes, or the movie theater and bowling allies near by. We also are very close to the King of Prussia mall and take group trips there frequently. Also, a group of students from campus meet together a could weekends a month and go Swing Dancing nearby! Lots of fun and definitely a way to make many new friendships!
Clubs and Activities
There are so many diverse clubs and activities to get involved with on campus. Many of these clubs are where you will meet the closest of your companions. These are offered all year-round and are open to anyone interested in joining them.
Campus Safety
The Campus Security guards take your wellbeing and safety very seriously. The dorms are secure and locked at all times and can only be opened by swiping your ID card. There are also Security guards driving around campus 24/7 Patrolling and making sure the area is secure.

Valley Forge Christian College is a college that you sure will be accepted and feel like it is your home. The college has awesome professors and they will never reject you. You make awesome friends!!
Tips for prospective students
Just be yourself and you surely will like the college!
Academic Rigor
The academic is nice. They teach you well.
Dorm Life
You can either live in apartment, a single, or a double. Singles are nice because you are by your self and you don't have to depend on anyone else and you can have your time to study by yourself.
Food and Dining
The food is alright. There is a lot of selection but sometimes really not that healthy.
What to do for fun
Well what I do for fun. I hang out with my boyfriend go to his house for the weekends and basically just hang out at college campus.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus
They usually have movie night once a week and they also do plays. They also have a nice music department and concerts.
Great for these types of students
To be honest this college is great for any student just be ready to be spiritually fed.
Clubs and Activities

Campus Safety
The campus safety is amazing. The security people are always on duty never is there anyone not on duty.

You shouldn't come here if you are specifically looking for someone to marry or if you enjoy to have a few drinks now and then etc. This is a great school for people who's main focus is to live their lives for God. This has to be your main priority though, and if it is you'll love it here.
Tips for prospective students
My tip for any prospective student is that even though it is a Christian college there are still people you need to be careful not to get involved with. Also don't over use your chapel skips!
Academic Rigor
The Academics here are good, and like any other college i'm sure if you procrastinate it's going to be too much for you to handle. Since there are about 1000 students on the entire campus the Professors have more time for the students and are always there to try and help them.
Dorm Life
I think the dorm life is exceptional just for the fact that you have many different choices. This is the only school that i know of that has many single dorm rooms that even freshmen can get, each also have a bathroom that you only share with one person! They also have doubles and triples, student apartments with full kitchens and even married housing. If you are picky about the buildings being a little old there is even a premium housing option for girls that was built in the 2000's.
Food and Dining
This is not one of Valley Forges strong qualities. Maybe i am just picky because i'm a vegetarian but most of the time i'd rather not eat than go to the cafeteria. They also force all students to have a meal plan which is very expensive so also not a plus.
What to do for fun
There is a taco bell, mcdonalds, wawa, giant, dollar tree, chinese buffet, pizza place, kmart all in the same plaza that is less than 2 miles away...walking distance if you are not lazy. There is also the king of prussia mall that's less than 10 miles away, and valley forge national park that is so beautiful on a nice spring day. On campus there really isn't that much to do, there's a pool table and air hockey table in a room with a television but most of the time there's going to be other people there. Things pretty much suck if you're a late nighter all the buildings close at 1am so you're forced to either go off campus, ditch your friends of the opposite gender and hang in a dorm or just be done for the night.
Clubs and Activities
One thing Valley Forge has going for it is it's ministry teams. There's hip hop and contemporary dance teams. There's a homeless ministry team, a nursing home ministry, a children's ministry team, an improv comedy team (that's really pretty funny), there is also a human video team and several others that i can't think of. So if you want to get involved you will not have a hard time finding it.

Will learn a lot
I've been in a few of their classes while on Campus during a Breakaway event, and I found the subjects challenging and interesting. I even learned a couple of things just sitting there listening.
Will enjoy being here
I loved the time I spent on campus. It has spacious grounds so you don't feel stifled or claustrophobic, and the population is small giving it a homey feel.
Bang for the buck
While the cost does make my wallet quake a little, there are so many scholarships available that I feel confident that I can afford it with minimum debt. They really make an effort to help you get an education.
Tips for prospective students
Visiting the campus more than once is important, and sitting in a couple of classes helps you get a good feel for the school. They have events to show you around their campus including Breakaways twice a year, College-for-a-Day that can be scheduled when convenient for you, and Open Houses.
