Very cheap, transferable credits, especially if you live (and/or plan to attend a 4-year college) in-state.

A great community college that's challenging but laid back at the same time. If you go to the main campus there's a lot of activities and the campus feels like the average college experience. Adding to that, the food is great.

Academically sound two year institution that provides many resources and ways to be involved, even if you can't live on campus. A really great school to get liberal studies out of the way and prepare for life at a 4 year.

AACC has helpful advisers to direct new students in which classes to take and what programs are available. The orientation sessions are a little overrated when first starting, but once I got into my program the new orientation was a lot more helpful. There are a lot of resources available including the library on campus and online, a decent gym, jogging path, science labs, tutoring, as well as others that I have not personally used.
