you'll meet your best friends here! dorm rooms are two person apartment style living with separate, lockable bedrooms. both bedrooms and livingroom are cable tv, internet, and phone ready. each…
At Lamar the dorms are perfect for me. I love the apartment style. Much better than the dorms at Texas State, which are just one room with 2 bunk beds.…
Each person gets their own room where they sleep... some privacy is always a plus.…
phase four and five are the nicest dorms. they are also the newest phases. its cool living on campus…
i love the dorm life, its feels like a mini apartment we have our space and privacy. …
the food and dining is fairly decent but slightly overpriced if you do not have a meal plan. the dining hall has a variety of foods, including home cooked meals, great breakfast pancakes, mexican food, italian food, deli food, a grill, and a salad and drink bar. mirabeau's is also a great place to grab a quick coffee and study before class, if you live at home and do not want to drive and come back to campus.
Read MoreThere's not many options of places, so if you live on campus and gate a meal plan (you have to) then you might get bored. The buffet (dining hall) is great though. There's a lot of choices in there.
Read MoreYou have a few options for dining. The dining hall (dhall), Mirabeaus, and the Nest. The dhall is where you can use your dining meals. You swipe in and you can choose from the same general foods every day. During lunch and dinner, there's always pizza, some meat, hamburgers, and soup. There are other foods that vary. The food is always slightly different so you're not eating the exact same thing all the time. I advise you: get cookies when they are out!!! As soon as you walk in and if you see cookies, grab them first before you get your meal! They go quickly!! The food is almost always good! Make sure to go when it is a tour day. They serve the best food on tour days. Mirabeaus is like a little cafe kind of place that serves Starbucks. They say Starbucks but I believe it's really Seattle's Best. The food is good but you usually have to wait a while for your food to come out. The Nest is wonderful! It is a cafeteria that has a Southern/home style cooking section, a Tex-mex-ish section, a healthy section, Pizza Hut, and something else. You have to pay for your drink individually but it's all good. The Nest and Mirabeaus only accept dining dollars or cash. The dhall accepts cash or dining meals.
Read MoreThe food was very good. There were plenty of options.
Read Morethere are many different food options on campus. its fanttastic!
Read MoreThere are several eating establishments on campus. They are very good.
Read MoreOffers a variety of food such as Pizza Hut personal pizzas, fried chicken and fries, burgers, baked potatoes and a selection of tex-mex dishes. I love getting the spicy beef nachos: a large plate covered in tortilla chips and my choice of toppings cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, salsa and spicy beef. Yum. I also enjoy the burritos, and tacos. They also offer sushi, which I thought was cool. It's prepared each morning and packaged. Quiet good.
Read MoreThe dining hall makes it so easy to stick to a diet with the wide variety of food and drink.
Read MoreFood is not the best all the time, and the dining hall hours suck it seems like whenever you are hungry its closed and it closes at 8. One place to eat in the set closes at like 2.
Read MoreThe food is great in the Nest which is a student lounge that has a variety of foods. There is a new booth that has food that tastes as if you were at your house and your mother made it especially for you; it really makes you feel at home.
Read MoreHUGE. The Greeks are everywhere. The first month expect to be asked several times.
Read MoreThe Greek life is not the best but there are still a lot of activities for fraternities and sonorities.
Read MoreI'm currently not a part of a sorority but I hope to join one either in the spring semester or next year.
Read MoreWe have a good number of fraternities and sororities on campus. When rush time comes, Greek is pretty much all you see around campus.
Read MoreNot that sure, but they are all very nice and you can go to interest meeting to find out.
