Prairie View A&M University is an Historically Black College and University in the Houston metro area and the second oldest public institution of higher learning in the state of Texas. A member of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund and Texas A&M University system, PVAMU is home to eight colleges and schools conferring undergraduate degrees. For musically inclined students, Prairie View A&M features a marching band known as “The Marching Storm” that competes at the annual Honda Battle of the Bands. Prairie View A&M also fields 14 men’s and women’s athletic teams known as the Panthers.

Prairie View A&M University is a HBCU school but has a lot of diversity. It has a great educational environment and the Biology program is great and very competitive. Prairie View A&M is a great school located in Southeast Texas.
