Sam Houston is a great college is you're looking for a small country town feel. Campus is relatively small (around 20,000), so you're bound to see familiar faces when going around. Although there's not a lot to do in Huntsville, it's in between a lot of cool places to visit, so you never have to worry about running out of places to go.
