Being at this school has been a great opportunity. The teachers are always available to talk about a test, your grades, or just about the subject in general. Since I've been at SFA, I've visited all my professors and they have all helped me to improve my performance in class by giving me tips and helping me understand the material. I give an A+ to the teaching staff who works hard to cater to your learning needs.

I’ll be honest and say that SFA is for a particular type of student. Academics is important for every school you attend, therefore without focus and motivation, one will not be able to succeed in an environment such as this. If you plan to have a glamorous experience, please go elsewhere because Nacogdoches is “Country Bumpkin Central” and moving to an off campus apartment while you are attending this University and dying to fit in will result in you being stuck here much longer & practically drained. Social life here is for high school students who never got an opportunity/permission to go out and enjoy your life. If that is not the category you fit into, this will bore the life out of you. If you have big dreams & you wish for more of a substantial lifestyle in your youth, chase your dreams, don’t waste your 18-24 Years here drinking & working for places you never thought you wanted to. There is no Forever 21 or Agaci here and there is no Sephora or Ulta either. Guys, there’s no Champs or House of Hoops or Foot Locker. There is also no Waffle House, which I sadly discovered upon arrival. Other students and graduates will do their best to suck you in and leave you drained and pained but I’d like to keep it as realistic as possible with my review. Keep searching, dream bigger, you are capable of tasks well beyond the moon.

SFA is a beautiful campus full of wonderful people, smack-dab in a small, conservative town. There isn't much to do in the way of entertainment in Nacogdoches, which leaves more time for studying (or partying, if that's what you're into). Overall, I'm glad I made the decision to come here.

To review a school such as SFA in three sentences - it's hard! As a transfer student, I was nervous to say the least, but the students and teachers received me so quickly the transition was easy and worth it! The professors here always have an open door and will spend hours with you and your school work; and above all, Nacogdoches will become your home and community!

Coming to SFA was definitely a challenge for me because I had only been to junior colleges. I soon learned that the faculty would put the students first and everyone wanted me to be an outstanding. Even though I doubted myself the entire semester I managed to pull off a 3.75 GPA with the help of my amazing professors.

SFA is perfect for those that want a smaller school with a big campus feel. The professors are very helpful and there are so many academic resources available to students. There is also plenty to do around campus.

SFA is a beautiful campus surrounded by the beautiful city of Nacogdoches, TX. The students, administrators, and professors are amazing and are willing to put in the time and effort if you are also putting in the work. The town, nick named "Nac" is a small town, but it is a hidden gem with something fun always around the corner.
