Visit Westwood to walk around, see a movie, eat, shop, etc. Go to the beach (Santa Monica), exercise at the stadium or gym, club activities, local volunteer work, bike riding, visit Culver City Mall, etc.

UCLA makes sure there is plenty of fun to offer students needing to take a break from studying. There are many clubs and extracurricular activities you can join, including quidditch, chess, and dancing. There is almost always a dance group practicing in the evening, from Bruin plaza underground parking lots! There are free movie screenings, concerts, open mic nights, and dances in the library. Student discounted tickets are offered for events in Royce Halls which include a variety of music, dance, and speaking performances and presentations. There are gyms, pools, tennis courts, basketball courts, a rock wall, and challenge course on campus (including near the hill). If the facilities and events hosted on campus donâ??t fulfill your need for fun, in Westwood (the village walking distance from UCLA) there are movie premieres. You can also take a bus to Santa Monica, where you can shop and play on the beach. Also nearby are Beverly Hills, the Getty Center and Griffith Park. UCLAâ??s centrally located position makes it an awesome campus at which to learn and play!

The list of fun activities is inexhaustible. Quite literally, any interest that you may have is sure to have a club or organization associated with it at UCLA.

Do what you like! If you played a certain sport or were in a certain club in high school, you'll definitely find people you click with here. There are so many students it's actually harder to find something nobody has ever done before.

There is a sporting event on campus often. I also like the concerts and lots of places to go out in Westwood.

Besides having a club to appeal to literally everyone, Westwood and the surrounding areas are all great places to go and hang out. Santa Monica is super close and only costs $1 for a bus there and back; tons of buses go to downtown from nearby as well. Greek life is pretty big on campus so there is always a party on Thursday or Friday to go hang out at. Most dorm buildings have a game room on the bottom floor you can use, and the IM field is almost always open to go and mess around on. Sunset Rec is another great place to go; there are pools, volleyball courts and large fields to hang out on.
