The dining options are pretty expansive, even just on campus, and I have no even tried them all, but the ones I have tried have all been pretty good. The Cafeteria food is fairly varied in quality. One day it might be amazing, but the next it may be just kind of okay.

Luckily the new student union will be finished in spring of 2014, so there will be a new cafeteria and a few more eating establishments. However from my experience, the cafeteria is not vegetarian friendly at all. Vegetarians should get a meal plan with a lot of declining balance because there are other campus eateries that serve vegetarian options.

The food is amazing in southern Louisiana. Who doesn't love Cajun-styles food? Unfortunately, some actually don't, but that's okay because UL's dining has a nice variety of foods to keep everyone's tummy happy and satisfied. UL is currently rebuilding their Student Union and when it is finished it will be even better to go and have a bite to eat during a busy class week.

Greeks at UL Lafayette are very diverse and laid back. The Greek system is a wonderful part of UL Lafayette and it's working on expanding with new Chapters of Sigma Chi and Alpha Delta Pi. There are many to choose and be a part of should you take this route. Greek life is a great way to be involved and an experience like no other.

There are greek shows, charity work done by the greeks, and they are friendly. They actually talk to you and answer any questions you have even if it's not about greek life.
