Room and Board The weighted average for room and board and other expenses is generated as follows:
  • (amount for on-campus room, board and other expenses * # of students living on-campus.
  • + amount for off-campus (with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus with family
  • + amount for off-campus (not with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus not with family)
divided by the total # of students. Students whose living arrangements are unknown are excluded from the calculation. What Students Are Saying

3.84 Average Rating
ULM is not only full of amazing professors and students, but has majors that will suit everyone. It's affordable and credible- the classes are always interesting and worth the tuition. The campus is extraordinarily beautiful and centered conveniently in the middle of the city.
Shelby from West Monroe, LA
If you want to do pharmacy or chemistry this is definitely the school to attend. The teachers are excellent but the administration is not entirely on top of things. Like many places in Louisiana, it's who you know, not what you know; if you want to get something taken care of you'll have to be persistent.
Meghan from Zachary, LA
ULM is a small tit-knit college where everyone is friendly. It is not to small, but it is small enough to feel like a home away from home. The education that you will receive here will be excellent and provided by caring teachers.
Student from Natchitoches, LA
the university of louisiana at monroe is a very bright and humble environment where if you stay in northeast louisiana you won't be far from home but you would be around plenty of new people.
kaitlynelizabeth from tallulah, la
This is a great school. People here look after you and they make sure that you are making your classes and getting the grades. There are many helpful things to offer here if you need help.
Neek from Monroe, LA
ULM is a great environment to begin your journey of exploring what you want to do when you 'grow-up'. There are really great professors who want to see you succeed and provide you with all the necessary tools to do so. Lastly, ULM may be a smaller campus, but this is not a disadvantage, you feel closer to the student body, not just another face in the crowd.
Brittany from Oak Grove, LA
It is accredited and recognized as one of the top university of USA. The environment in ULM is very friendly and students can have all the advantages from teachers due to this. The most important thing is it provide the housing and dorm facilities in very safe place and very peaceful area.
