    Campus Safety

The campus is small and very safe. There are numerous guards throughout and access to the campus is closely monitored.

    Greek Life

There are no sororities or fraternities.

    Clubs and Activities

I don't know of any specific ones.

Great for these types of students

    Outgoing, extroverted, artistic, business-minded.

    Bang for the buck

The school is very expensive even with a scholarship. In terms of the quality and cost of the education, I find it to be disproportional. The national university in Puerto Rico is considerably less costly and it provides a much better education.

    What to do for fun

There is a student centre with basketball courts, a gym and a pool. It's a great place to hang out and rest.

    Food and Dining

The food is neither here nor there.

    Dorm Life

I do not live in a dorm.

    Academic Rigor

Depending on what you are studying the workload may vary but generally there are no assigned lectures or frequent homework. Some professors may be very demanding with the work you bring in though. This is the case for photography students (which I am). The school does have great facilities to provide the student with hands-on experience.

    Tips for prospective students

This university feels very much like high school in terms of the size of the campus and the difficulty of the class material.

    In three sentences

The university is very small so it feels like one big department, specially because this institution is known for its communications programs. The atmosphere is very calm, maybe due in part to the fact that it is not a crowded space. I have found this to aid in student relationships and camaraderie since one spends so much time with the same people.

    Campus Safety

Is good, but I see there is two gates and people who wants to walk through campus, they do it and police people don't say anything. One of these days we may hear something bad.

    Greek Life

I do not know any greeks.

    Clubs and Activities

Life in this island is different from USA. People are more aware of many things. I belong to this club from my concentration and its lame.

Great for these types of students

People who wants to learn and study.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

We need more traditions and fun stuff, sorry...

    Bang for the buck

    Average.

    What to do for fun

We are located very near (3) minutes from the capitol of Puerto Rico, San Juan. There is life in there.

    Food and Dining

We do not have a lot to chose from. Average.

    Dorm Life

    Normal average.

    Academic Rigor

Some of our equipment are new, some old, they are working on it. We are very competitive.

    Tips for prospective students

If you are looking for a degree in FILM, TV or Photo, this is your place to be.

    In three sentences

If you are from outside of Puerto Rico, you may find Sacred Heart very cheap to pay for college, but if you are from here, the island, this college is one of the most expensive college we have here in Puerto Rico. If you are walking here at the island and say: I'm from Sacred Heart University, its a big deal. We are the best in Communications and FILM.

    Greek Life

    Nonexistent.

    Bang for the buck

    Very affordable.

    Food and Dining

The food is alright. The cafeteria doesn't accommodate people with dietary restrictions, so if you have any, it is recommended that you either bring your own food or like the snacks that the USC store offers.

    Dorm Life

Given that the majority of the people commute, the residences aren't very active.

    Academic Rigor

I'd say it depends on one's major, but in my experience, it isn't very 'rigorous.'

    Tips for prospective students

Research the school, its programs and visit before making a decision. The latter is specially important if you plan to reside at the dorm.

    In three sentences

This school is not the greatest, but totally what you make of it. The best part is the tuition, which is rather affordable.

    Campus Safety

They provide a lot of on campus safety and patrols, which is really effective and convenient for students and the personnel.

    Clubs and Activities

Like I mentioned before the university keeps a calendar with the activities for the students. They also have different clubs, in the different concentrations that you can choice from and join.

Great for these types of students

Communications students, B. administration students and Science students looking for challenges and opportunities.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

Puerto Ricans have this tradition called noche de san juan, by the end of June, you need to go to the beach and at midnight, splash yourself with water seven times. In the University they have an activity for that night and instead of going to the beach, you go to the university's pool.

    Bang for the buck

I feel that, compared to other universities in the states, this university is very accessible for financial aid. I still need help to pay for it every semester but I really enjoy assisting here.

    What to do for fun

Here in Puerto Rico you can find a lot of places to hang out with friends. Even inside the University you can find fun activities to do. They usually keep a social calendar for the student to assist.

    Food and Dining

Food and dining facilities are really accessible and delicious.

    Dorm Life

I didn't really like it because I appreciate my privacy but, I have to that it is a good choice if you are away from home.

    Academic Rigor

I believe that depending on the career program, some of them are more challenging than others. If you are in Business Administration or Communications area, you get to have more challenges than an Art major student. It also depends on the professors, the classes and the student.

    Tips for prospective students

Gather all the information you can get before you visit the university. Once you get there, ask for all the orientations they have about the university, the programs and financial aid. Every semester ask for information about your career program and financial aid programs.

    In three sentences

This university has very good offers for students. They also have professors with excellent academic preparation. I believe they should work on their administrative personnel and orientations for foreign students.

The University of the Sacred Heart has been more than a higher education center. It has been my home and my workplace. I have had great opportunities.

Great for these types of students

Fashion wise, social and communicative students.

    Tips for prospective students

Hold your head up high while walking the hallways.

    Bang for the buck

The price is a little excessive.

    Am enjoying being here

A small community of very sociable people.

    Am learning a lot

Although the curriculum is not very hands on for a second semester freshman, it is very educational and precise.
