Originally founded as The Academy of Idaho, Idaho State University is a 4-year public research university in southeast Idaho. ISU is home to six colleges conferring degrees in over 250 academic programs of study and offers a Career Path Internship program that matches student interests with jobs on campus. In addition to classroom space, Idaho State hosts The Idaho Accelerator Center, operating three research laboratories focusing on biology, homeland security, and physics. For a break from campus, ISU is a day’s drive from numerous national attractions including Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park.

Idaho State University has an amazing student-driven community! It seems as if everyone takes an interest in each others lives, including professors and resident assistants. And if that isn't enough, there are some dorms located on campus that are small enough that everyone who is a resident feels like part of a family.
