massachusetts maritime academy is one of only a few maritime academies in the united states, and is a fully accredited, and fully respected academy known worldwide. i would personally rate this school as high as possible, being able to compete with job opportunities that only ivy league schools are known to offer. this school would without a doubt be rated at a ten.
Tips for prospective students
massachusetts maritime academy is not a school for everyone. discipline, knowledge, and leadership is the school's motto, and they enforce it to the highest degree. this school demands respect and the ability to follow some one's order even though that person is only several years older than you.
Academic Rigor
the academic rigor of masscachusetts maritime academy is nothing like other schools. not only must you do your normal college routines of college, you also have your regimental duties of maintenance and watches that can be extremely time consuming.
Dorm Life
dorm life is nothing like any other college. every morning as freshman consists of a tedious inspection by your commanding squad leaders looking for dust in the most conspicuous places. your dorm must be neat and tidy with a military style bed arrangement while also being completely rinkle free.
Food and Dining
masscachusetts maritime academy's food may not be the best, but the friendships that you can develop with the food services makes up for the not so great food that they cook for you.
What to do for fun
fun is what you make of it at such a strict school such as masscachusetts maritime academy. you provide your own entertainment with your friends that you make here.
Great for these types of students
this school is great for students who appreciate a hard-earned reward for giving your blood sweat and tears. people who enjoy a structured life style will also enjoy this school.
Campus Safety
masscachusetts maritime academy enforces safety to a whole other level, especially since five out of the six majors offered here coincide with safety regulations in the career field.
