Room and Board
The weighted average for room and board and other expenses is generated as follows:
(amount for on-campus room, board and other expenses * # of students living on-campus.
+ amount for off-campus (with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus with family
+ amount for off-campus (not with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus not with family)
divided by the total # of students. Students whose living arrangements are unknown are excluded from the calculation. For some institutions the # of students by living arrangement will be known, but dollar amounts will not be known. The University of Alabama in Huntsville has been very welcoming. Every staff member is so willing to go out of their way just to help a student that has a question or a request. The university is always updating their campus to keep it looking really clean and professional.

Too many engineering nerds and guys. Greek life is crazy small. The people who run most of this school don't do things very efficiently and it is annoying.

You will not party much; however, you will learn more at this university than anywhere else. After leaving my sophomore year; I quickly returned in one semester because I enjoyed learning my way through college rather than cheating through it. I will enter the real world knowing more than most average students.

So far so good. I start upper division nursing in the fall and everyone, from the student medical center to the admissions office, have been very helpful. The classes are scheduled well and everyone is friendly.

UAHuntsville pushes all of its students to become experts in their fields. It is by no means an easy school, but the difficulty results in students who go far when they get out of school. I love this school and the professors who have done so much to encourage me to be my best.
