

University of Maryland, Baltimore
Founded in 1807, University of Maryland in Baltimore is the public health, law, and human services university in the state with a mission to “improve the human condition and serve the public good of Maryland at large through education, research, clinical care, and service.” The UM-Baltimore operates multiple academic centers including the Center for Health and Homeland Security and the Center for Information and Technology Services. UMB is also home to the first dental school in the world, the School of Dentistry, which celebrated its 175th anniversary in 2015.
