I would definitely recommend ISU to anybody who even considers it an option at all.

Iowa State has a high tuition, both instate and out of state. It averages around 19,000 (including tuition, room and board, meals, and other fees) for instate students and 32,000 for out of state. But this tuition includes many things, such as bus fare, health center fees, and gym membership. I don't believe it's the best bang for the buck, but it's fair.

As an out of state student, the tuition is very high. Unless you are getting a degree in a high paying career field, it may not be worth it. In state tuition is more reasonable.

It's pretty expensive, but there are a lot of scholarships and financial aid to help subsidize the costs.

I see lots of complaints about out-of-state tuition, but compared to my older sister's choice, it's very reasonable.
