Room and Board The weighted average for room and board and other expenses is generated as follows:
  • (amount for on-campus room, board and other expenses * # of students living on-campus.
  • + amount for off-campus (with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus with family
  • + amount for off-campus (not with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus not with family)
divided by the total # of students. Students whose living arrangements are unknown are excluded from the calculation. For some institutions the # of students by living arrangement will be known, but dollar amounts will not be known. What Students Are Saying

AU will becomes a home away from home, and as an out-of-state student it was really important for me to have the feeling of home so that I didn't get home sick much. AU did a great job of making me feel welcomed and wanted. Everyone is so friendly and very helpful no matter your problem.

Ashland University is a private, Christian, Liberal Arts college that has excellent undergraduate programs; it's a 10 minute walk across campus. Professors actually care about you and notice when you don't come to class. It's not an extremely small school where you know everyone in your class by the time you're done, but advanced courses (junior-senior level) usually only have 1-2 sections.
