What Students Are Saying

4.12 Average Rating
Southern Methodist university is a predominantly white school, being a minority I felt a bit left out at first but once you get going you begin to feel a lot better. There is a great atmosphere and the campus looks amazing. Frat life is big on campus, the classes are smaller so you have a more personal relationship with your professors.
Gustavo from Dallas, TX
SMU offers the ideal balance of everything you'd want in a four-year college: great academics, a beautiful campus, and a place to become a true world-changer. The campus has a family-like atmosphere to it, with expert professors, huge opportunities, and a student body that rivals the nation's top schools. SMU is perfect for anyone who is committed to academics, can enjoy athletics for the sport and not necessarily the win, and seeks lasting friendships with a diverse group of scholarly individuals.
