Am learning a lot
Dixie State is a college that has its strengths and weaknesses. Depending on what field you are going into, you can feel either immersed in knowledge or left out to dry. I now am learning quite a bit, the psychology program has finally got finalized at Dixie State. So, now, even though they don't have enough teachers for the student load, it feels as if you are accomplishing something by attending this school and participating in this program.
Am enjoying being here
The atmosphere is wonderful at Dixie State College. The students show respect and care for one another. You are never alone at Dixie State. There is not a single class where the students do not group together as study buddies and homework groups. The best thing is that everyone is welcome and feels welcome at Dixie State. On the flip side the teachers range from thinking that they are the almighty on earth and wanting every student to succeed. Students who get a bad teacher though do not have to worry that their grade will suffer though, because other students who have had that teacher and who are having that teacher with you love to help.
Bang for the buck
For the price Dixie State college is a good school. If you are interested in getting an Associates or a Bachelors (if they have the program), but have a family to take care of then this is definitely the school for you. Dixie State allows you to gain an education without breaking the bank.
Tips for prospective students
If you aren't sure what you want to go into for your career or what you want for your education than Dixie's associate program will fit you. If you want to gain a Bachelors you should decide what you would like, because it is a painful process to start over.
Great for these types of students
Dixie is great for: people who are married, people who have families, that they need to provide for financially, but still would like to receive an education, and people who just want to get generals out of the way for cheap.

Will learn a lot
you will learn a lot, i have sat in on classes, and was very much impressed, the professors for the most part are well rounded and know their topics. They stayed focused on what they know they need to teach and present their work very clear and concise.
Will enjoy being here
If you would like a enjoyable college experience, you should come to Dixie State College, not only are the classes very well maintained, but they are made to only have around 30-40 students, to give each student the available time to speak with the professor of any questions or concerns. If you think the classes are great, you should check out, outside of the classroom. The Sporting events are spectacular and fun, everyone i have spoken to has enjoyed them thoroughly, Dixie is a great choice of study.
Bang for the buck
The amazing thing about Dixie State College is for the fact of it being so cheap as a College. Tuition for a full schedule of classes, per semester is only around $ 2,000, which is quite impressive for a College, everyone has a chance here at Dixie.
Tips for prospective students
For tips, make sure to go to Dixie events and other out of class activities, it is really the best way to get the best out of your college experience, you can always have fun at Dixie, you just need to put yourself out their to see it.
Great for these types of students
Dixie is awesome for students who live in St. George(or near by) who don't wish to go to a costly large university and just want to stay local. This school is also great for those that wish to get into the Nursing field because of the school's amazing Nursing program. Another awesome part of the medical programs at the school is if you wish to transfer to say the University of Utah, acceptance of those students are way high, because the University of Utah knows of Dixie's excellent teaching and wish for those students to come. The list goes on and on.

The teachers legitimately care whether or not you fail. They stay after office hours and give you multiple ways to contact them if you need help! There is many resources on campus such as the career center, the health and wellness center and the tutoring center!
Am enjoying being here
I never intended on going to college because i thought it would be just like high school. Thankfully i was wrong! Dixie State has changed my whole outlook on everything! The People are very kind and considerate, the teachers care and help you strive to do your best, and the overall environment is very relaxing and home-y. There is never a dull moment and there is something for everyone! I got involved with SHE Club and started a book club! There is endless possibilities!
Bang for the buck
Dixie has a lot to offer for being in a smaller scale town! Tuition is fair, and there is many great campus activities that come from it!
Tips for prospective students
Take it easy your first semester otherwise you may get overwhelmed. however here at Dixie we have many on hand counselors with whom you can talk to whenever. we also have a health and wellness center where you can get check-ups and they also have all types of counseling.
Great for these types of students
If you love diversity, Dixie is the perfect place for you! Even though it's a smaller town there is still lots to do especially for the social butterflies. St. George is a very safe enviornment and Dixie has room for all types of students!

If you take a class from Russell Gordon in Hurricane you are sure to understand the math. He is a great teacher and I'm sure many more like him are employed there.

Southern Utah has never been a closed community we like outsiders and love to talk to them to find out there experiences. I take the chance that so many people come to this college to talk to them.
Bang for the buck

In three sentences
Dixie State College has been a great school choice for me. I am taking classes at this college while still attending high school and they have been extremely supportive and considerate of my complicated schedule. The teachers are also great and there are fantastic clubs and student service opportunities.
Tips for prospective students
I would suggest that you take advantage of the academic advisement, tutoring center, writing center, and all the other student service opportunities avalible to students. I would also suggest that you take a tour of the campus and talk to students about their experiences at the school.
Academic Rigor
The teachers are excellent and extremely knowledgeable about their field. Most of the professors are extremely easy to talk to if you need help and there are also other ways to help improve your grades if you need. If you put in the work you need to, you will do great at this school.
Dorm Life
While I don't live in the dorms at Dixie State College, I have taken tours of them and they are top-quality.
Food and Dining
They have one cafeteria on campus that serves pretty much every type of food. they have chinese, mexican, homestyle, and classic greasy american, yum! They also have several great restaraunts off-campus.
What to do for fun
They have several activities available for every kind of person ranging from sports to study groups, to chess club. Saint George is beautiful year-round. The summers can get very hot but there are three lakes very close-by as well as a number of swimming pools. You can also hike, run, bike, rock climb, and visit Zion National Park which is very close by. There are also clubs that are geared towards those who are more into academics such as chess club, tutoring, and several other opportunities.
Bang for the buck
Tuition at Dixie State College is extremely low and you don't pay credit to credit. You can get 12-17 credits for a little over $1,000 if you are an in-state resident. there are also several opportunities available that are included in your tuition cost such as tutoring, writing help, and great counselors.

Classes at Dixie are just the right size for everyone to learn. Teachers know students name and are willing to help you out by giving you phone numbers to call no matter the time of day.
Am enjoying being here
the weather is wonderful, so it makes it the college experience much better
Bang for the buck
if you are a full time student you are going to pay for the first 12 credits, so if you take 13 and up you are not going to pay for them
Great for these types of students
Dixie is a wonderful school for all students
