Environmental Biology

Majoring in environmental biology allows you gain more knowledge about human interaction with the environment and make a difference in the world. As more individuals and governments choose to invest in a greener future, this field is thriving and full of opportunity. An environmental biology major combines physical, biological, and chemical sciences and gives students insight into local, regional, and global environmental problems. You'll have the opportunity to study everything from pollution control to natural resource management, which indicates just how broad this program is. Environmental biology schools will give their students a better understanding of humans' impact on the environment and on other organisms. Upon graduating, you'll be prepared to enter the life science or environmental biology fields, and could even have the opportunity to participate in critical research studies. However, your career options are not restricted to scientific ones - jobs for environmental biology majors can include those in government service, conservation, journalism, international relations, and law.
