Computer Software Engineering

What if you could make your hobby of video or computer games into a real career? With a computer software engineering major, you can. Doesn't it sound exciting to develop software and games on your own? Majoring in computer software engineering means you're still entering a relatively new field. Students learn more about design, analysis, implementation, and software validation. But it isn't all fun and games - it also requires some hard work learning about statistics and probability, discrete mathematics, and computer applications. It isn't hard to find a career as a computer software engineer. The Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates the demand for software developers will shoot up 22 percent from 2012-2022. That's much faster than the average career, and gives you plenty of chances to find a job working for a company you love.
