When you major in electrical and electronic engineering, you'll learn to apply scientific and mathematical principles to design, develop, and operate electrical systems. Put simply, electrical engineering majors, are capable of inventing new gadgets and technology to help humanity, and help make existing machines more effective and efficient.

As an electrical engineer, you will research and find new and different ways of generating electricity. You might also build and test new devices that will be useful to industries and organizations, and solve problems using the latest technology. A bachelor's degree is required for entry-level jobs, but some more advanced positions require more extensive schooling.
